REMEMBER 9/11... BEYOND TERRORISM

Today, we remember thousands who lost their lives on the 11th day of September 2001 otherwise simply known as 9/11 terrorist attack . We remember many things, not just the twin tower crashing down from the two airplanes crashing into them, we unforgettably remember many things encapsulated in one single date ....9/11.

Some will say, we remember 9/11 today with some comfort that justice has been relatively served while some will simply say justice in this case can't be aggregated but either ways, we still remember 9/11 and simply pause at the least and say a simple prayer R.I .P to the victims knowing it could be any of us.

We remember Osama bin Laden, the twin towers, the airplanes, the wailing , crying of victims (audibly and immaginarily) and many more .... But today in a tiny little part of every sane & passionate Nigerian's heart, we remember 9/11 with an additional & slightly amplified perspective...

We remember 9/11 with our own little twist, not only beacuse of Al Qaeda or Boko Haram but how more or less our Nigerian government had done and doing to fight terror, juxtaposed with what serious government around the world have done and doing.... In all we remember 9/11 still.

In this part of the world, terrorism though relatively new because its strange to our culture but we live with the reality that it is an issue that is here now. The killing of innocent people for whatever reason or reasons, be it religion, politics or just sheer hatred is simply incomprehensible. A Life that can not be created in a minute is being terminated in split seconds for what a sane mind will label VANITY! Forgeting we are first HUMANs before our race, religion, political affilation or personal adventure and ambitions.

Beyond and between 9/11 and any other terror, in this part of the world, we have a bigger threat to our lives than terrorism, There is a more devastating group... Its that of a group of compulsive kleptomaniac bourgeois with political powers recklessly killing the puny, helpless and hopeless proletariats destroying the present and the (their) future.
We remember OUR 9/11 today but with a heavy heart that this is one fight, at this rate we may never win! A brutal dream-like reality curled in a nightmare we may never spring awake from.

In memory of the victims of 9/11 , terrorist victims, victims of corrupt politician and many others..
