PERSEVERANCE

Perseverance is genius covered in a resolute mind Genius is infinite patience. It is the protracted string of persistence. It does not pay to hurry... With the continuous heating and cooling of the rocks, it quakes Its sheer doggedness covered in purpose. It’s the high point of diligence and commitment. It’s what differentiates men from men. It’s the explanation of our response to adversity. In the presence of adversities some grow wings others buy crutches. A wise man would let the fire do its work on the iron. He allows heat for as long as possible before he strikes. So, perseverance comes first above talent, even above genius! (Curled from my archives)

HATE STATE, LATE FATE

Image
You are religious & devoted to your faith. Though I wonder If this is just about fate. But then your breathe is filled with so much hate. You tell me we're family, Sorry, I can't relate. How did you bring yourself to this state. I walk on eggshells around you with bate. Ethnicity regardless, I thought we're mate. Spit fire, cause mayhem, irrational at any rate, Pained, Frustrated in despair and now irate, Clenched fist, grinding teeth as you vibrate, Your ethnicity and religion we try to appreciate Knowing we are first humans, this I like to reiterate. Then and only then from this hate emancipate. Can't tell me about love when hate you can't eradicate Talk is cheap so your actions we can't vindicate Must stop the hate so your faith can be up-to-date. Your hate is so deafening, I can't hear your faith. Your hate is so derailing, It shows me your fate. Your hate is so detailed, I see your true state. Your hate is so consistent, it...

HE'S WATCHING

Image
A father takes his son into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him . Perhaps even some human might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and trees and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man! Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm. We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it, God is watching o...

FACES

Faces are like places, Some you see once, Others you see less, Many you see too countless, One you hold on to like aces. Faces are like reflectors, They represent diff idea like newspaper vendors, Some represents that of an actor, Others represent that of a traitor Few represent that of a suitor. One represent that of a endeared counsellor. Faces are crosses Some you never want to bear even with a push, Some you miss in a loss, Few you never want to forget in a rush. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN

"What is seen is what is known not what could have been" E.A Adeboye My thoughts on the above quote is. While you spend time thinking and regretting how good your life could have turn out. How you missed that opportunity to be great or achieve greatness... I sure do understand how that feels but also how wrong and ungrateful that comes out in the light of how this could have really been. What is seen is what is known, not what could have been.... Spend time thanking,  reminiscing  and rejoicing on how worse things didn't turn out to be that didn't happen. It could have been awful and fatal without any iota of hope but here you are with life in you breath and hope in your sails. Its another opportunity to be alive... A chance to stand up and do something with your life. Things could have been worse. Remember... What is seen is what is known not what could have been. Selah. Seth Ogungbe' @sethorunzi

A Take On Nigerian Judicial System By Fidel Albert

*copied... Just before you categorize everyone in our judicial system. It's a long but worth every second of your time.* You need to read this message. A true Nigerian  Fidel Albert have this to say. Enjoy Sometimes it is quite impossible to describe the disgust you feel in having to respond to absurd comments on your facebook wall. You see, this evening i posted my unalloyed support for the DSS in raiding houses of Judges and finding what i hear is evidence of corruption. Some people have called me names because of my position, but some of their reasons are downright heartbreaking, because these are people whom you expect to know better. Pompey Esezobor wondered why i would hold this sort of opinion "in this time and age." But he forgot to tell me what "time and age" we are in for my opinion on this issue to be so inappropriate. Chinedu Anene was courageous enough to call my opinion "scandalous." Now, I readily forgive Chinedu Anene because he is...
