MOTHERNATURE GROANS IN PAIN

The earth groans in awesome pain

Her children losing all their gain

The heat of a scorching sun she receives

The tildes of its rushing water-tears striking hard like diseases

We do not heed but she groans with pain

Noisome pestilence interlude her calm silence

Mother- nature tries to brawl back with strong résistance

Her vengeance come and we are taken aback

With Tsunami, earthquakes, eruptions and flood she attacks

She is left with no other choice while she groans with pain.

To her many question we give no answer

But to her various rebuke we run and scamper

Most times- of her, we have many different thoughts

Like a child chastised looks up to his mother and hurt

We forget that to our good only but she groans in pain

The gulf between two extremes we can’t explain

Love and care mixed with hate and rage- we complain

She shelters us like a mother wraps her warmth around a child

Yet in a twinkle of time she pounce on same like a lion in the wild

Switching between mild and hostility she groans in pain

Variation between shelter and shatter Mother-nature groans in pain

Yet we turn our back with nonchalance and unguided strain.

She groans loud and we do not care rather we dare

Mother-nature fights back in defence then we’re left bare

With misty eyes and broken heart she groans in pain.

Fragile mother -nature groans in awesome pain

She is pain and seeks our help rather we look for gain

Mother-nature weeps in pain yet we act plain

She groans in pain for attention but we complain

With time- ticking on the bomb she groans in pain
