TWO SIDEs OF A COIN-
Tossed high above in the air with projectile force
Flipping and spinning in the air in rhythmic mode
Uncertainty in the mind of the awaiting and gazing eyes
Plagued with equal plausibility and possibility
Yet the tension is most often than not high
With only either of two possible outcome nigh
Head or tail- true or false-right or wrong.
Without any choice an outcome will be reached.
Attempt otherwise will be some sort of colossal failure
The depths of this thoughts brings pain and gain-
Tonnes of Salt poured to enrich an ocean- futility
Ice wrapped and packaged to be sold to an Eskimo- implausibility
Attempt to convert the pope from Catholicism – audacity
Work and wages molted into a coin-inseparable
The issue isn’t the outcome but in whose favour.
We may not win always but in our loss we grow strong
It may be victory today but defeat isn’t avoided yet.
We rise to the zenith but a slip can make it go away
Like two side of a coin so is victory and defeat on the same path
Like a coin tossed up to have a definite outcome we await
We win some -we loose some yet it doesn’t in itself define us.
Weeping takes the centre stage through the late night show
But joy of victory comes like a blistering bolt in the day time live.
Like two sides of coin we learn it could be head or tail
Pain or gain -win or lose- fear or faith-strength or frail.
As issue in our life are tossed high in the air like a coin
Each of the time, we can only look - gazing up into the horizon
Praying and hoping our favourite side of the coin emerges top.
But if it doesn’t we can not resign to fate and be a flop.
The Four Hebrew boys said-even if our God doesn’t save us we won’t bow.
Like Job, even though He slay me I will yet trust Him, he affirms.
Despite the loss like David we can rise up, wash up and stand up to fight another day.
After all the coin will always have its only two sides any day
But we have time and chance for our many possible wins everyday.
…TIME AND CHANCE HAPPEN TO THEM ALL!
