Birthday Appreciation

Success is a connection of relationships and more importantly friendship... On a day like yesterday while I celebrated my birthday, I realized how important my friends and family are to me. Thank you for all the SMS, calls, tweets, Facebook Message, BBM display and Status etc made me feel honored. God bless you all! Thank you for being part of my day and making up integral part of my connection!

MENDING MIND

Clouds forming off a crux whirl Thoughts come rolling awhile Of my past reminiscing in a matrix With turbulent unending affix From my curly lowly lonely hearts Whispering conscientious arts Reaching into imagination untold Hoping for positive to unfold Of possible plausible joy that could But not sure that's all that would Our humanity in this we see Of our flaws we suffer some fee Our mind travel but its often gaged By many, any and every often tagged Should I rise from all irrespective I only pray for a new perspective

WHAT OR WHO GOD IS!

Image
As I settle down to ponder on some thoughts, unanswered prayers and uncompleted plans, I stumbled on this illumination while I listened to T.D Jakes. There is a very important need to know and establish the difference between what God can do and Who He is...because what He can do is subject to whether he would (choice) do it! But Who God is, has to do with His nature! Irrespective of other prevalent circumstances- He just does it! Because that is just who his and its a natural expression to do or enact the DNA character of Who He is! He is Jehovah Jireh- He does not act giving or providing he just provides because he is a provider! Jehova rapha... Healer He is, Healing He does! Jehovah Elohim, He does not just appear to make sufficiency, He is all Sufficient at any rate or level. Jehovah Nissi, Sikenu etc Hence, its important to Know God for Who He is & not just for what He can do, so when he chooses not to do it (what you know he can do) YET, You don't loose yourself and y...

PAIN IS GOOD (Part 2)

Image
"I am sorry we may have encountered some complications as the labour has been on for far too long" the doctor said. While consultations were on going, she screams in excruciating pain. Exasperated she was with little or no strength to push any further but she still kept on travailing with the hope of having her first child after 7 years of waiting in sight. Just when the doctor was concluding with her husband, the midwife in-charge came rushing in, "...he is out " she screamed with exhilarating joy and a with a wide grin on her face. Down on his knees the husband went with a huge sigh, he exclaimed " GOD IS GOOD!" "God is good" is a phrase we can relate with and even express subconsciously, but not PAIN IS GOOD. "God is good, all the time" we usually say with little effort is put into weighing up its meaning. God's strength is made manifest in our weakness and pain. Not that God enjoys us being in pain but He sometimes let us g...

PAIN IS GOOD!

Pain is good. A statement you probably expect to be credited to an insane individual. As I sat there, all I thought about was the possibility and plausibility of that being true. Pain is good? Pain is good simply won't sink as there was no way my human mind could wrap its tentacles around that "truth" as all facts suggests otherwise. The Preacher-man keeps hammering...the Purpose of pain, the purpose of Suffering! All his words were summarized in these 3 words -PAIN IS GOOD. A 35 year old moral standing lady without a husband, fiancé or a thread of hope of having one...and you say pain is good? Couple married 10 years without a child and you say pain is good. 7 year after university without a job eating from hand to mouth. That abused teenage girl. The Young boy with no home or shelter. The widow whose husband never returned home. The man hit by a stray bullet, struggled to survive but now a cripple. That prospective man confined to a world on a wheelchair. My friend lo...

AFCON 2013; He Stoops to Conquer

Image
The AFCON 2013 ended with the erstwhile "Super Chicken" now Super Eagles crowned as the new African Champions... A victory that ended a 19 year wait. A tournament filled with different strides, passion and turn around moments. A victory that will be celebrated for a long time to come. Some blamed the coach for dropping some players... For me, that's guts. Keshi played inexperienced and local based players... Now that's faith. He kept pushing his team when the fans at home crucified them that's believe. Sunday Mba scored 2 vital goals on Sundays... That's determination and brilliance. The team stock together to fight... That's the Nigerian spirit. But as we celebrate winning the AFCON, it's important not to forget the lessons... For me, apart from the team and the coach, one player should be celebrated more and specially, because he forgave us of our trespasses... He obeyed the clarion call to play for the country that wasn't there for him whe...

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS INDEPENDENCE DAY

Image
I thought of writing a piece on the "occasion of celebrating" (Phrase used as a cliche not necessarily meant) Nigeria's 52nd independence day, but was not convinced of writing anything, as I probably lost all the possible positives a day as this can be, other than being alive a gift we all freely received from God and not any government. I thought that, to scribble a few of my many thoughts today may not be a bad idea, hence the product of my thoughts are represented below; please read responsibly; Abraham, a prominent character in two of the most popular religion in the world, hoped against hope... I would love to know how Abraham would have kept hope in Nigeria, because at this rate all I see is Hopelessness! I would have loved to say happy independence...But I believe that isn't appropriate! (as many of our people are in reality not happy and they are insecure)! So, God Help Nigeria (*would be more like it). When I posted the above on my Facebook page, I soun...
