SIX HOURS, ONE FRIDAY: The Cross Story 2

It was a Friday like no any other one
A Friday that changes the course of all leaving none
One that mixes wailing with winning; losing and gaining
One that shows that despite the twilight the sun comes shinning
A Friday where the loving father forsakes the beloved and only begotten son
A Friday that changes the course of science and despising the rule of the sun.
It gives us hope that what looks like an END might just be a BEND.
That after night comes morning and that in a thief we can find a friend
Six hours only on this Friday we heard a new story and saw many things occur
Six consecutive hours on this Friday is how long He took him on the Roman cross
Like the hope an anchor gives the captain of a ship in a ranging storm
These six hours on this Friday gave hope beyond any form.
From these six hours on this wonderful Friday we have much hope
One this Friday we have above all three anchors in life with which we cope;

Our life is not futile- futility
Ours failures are not fatal-fatality
Our death is not final-finality

(Inspired by Max Lucado’s Six hours one Friday)
